Palmer ISD -

October 2 is National Custodian Day!

Today, Palmer ISD wants to recognize our incredible custodial team who works tirelessly behind the scenes.

From early mornings to late evenings, your dedication, friendly smiles, and care do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for keeping our environment safe, clean, and bright every single day!

📚Monday kicks off our Book Fair!📚 Remember that you can register your child for their own ewallet - so much more convenient than sending cash (and actually expecting them to bring home the change!) 😉

Ask your child what they've been learning this first nine weeks during specials - art, music, computer, library and PE!

Congratulations to Brian Martin! He has been accepted to Tarleton State University!

Parents/Guardians of students that ride Bus Route 4 and 6:

The rain has caused unsafe conditions on a couple spots on our route. This means we'll have to take a detour which will cause your students to arrive home later than normal.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to safely transport your student home.

Mrs. Pai's 6th grade Ag students have been learning about fruit production. To wrap up the unit students got to complete an apple variety comparison lab where they were able to compare colors, crispness, sweetness, and tartness. They also completed a fruit forms lab where they discussed the reasons and effects of different preservation methods of fruit like freezing, drying and canning.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Lynell McKissack and Mrs. Yanet Morales!

Today, 4th graders took their learning outside! Students learned how American Indians depended on the land and showed respect for the natural resources around them. Our students put that lesson into action by choosing to pick up trash during recess and show respect for the land around us.

The PHS Bulldog Band and Guard had their first competition weekend! They participated in the Chris Lovejoy Marching Invitational in Whiteboro, TX.

They performed in prelims and finals. They were 4th of 13 in prelims and 6th of 14 in finals!

Their day started at 9:00 a.m. and did not end until after 11:00 p.m. These students are putting in a TON of work to show everyone what Palmer stands for!

A HUGE thank you to the Bulldog Band Boosters for being there to help with the students. They provideded 2 meals and snacks throughout the day to make sure the band was fueled up for their performances.

Great job Band and Guard! Keep up the hard work!

Congratulations to Sydney Stewart! She has been accepted to Stephen F. Austin State University!
