Our Palmer FFA and Jr. FFA members are still trucking at the Ellis County Youth Expo!
Yesterday was another busy day with the broiler and goat show!
4 Palmer students competed in the goat show and all did well getting their animals set and shown for the judge.
Although only 1 student stuck a sale spot, all 4 did amazingly well, especially since it was 3 out of 4 of their first county showing goats!
Congrats to Reese Wright on placing 3rd and getting a sale spot!

Great start to the day at county show. We are starting today with the market broiler show. We had two students Evelyn and Rosa Castillo showing today. Evelyn was Grand Champion Market Broilers and Rosa had the 5th and 6th place pens of broilers. Awesome job and thanks to all that helped hold birds in the show this morning.

Track Schedule Change:
Due to baseball and softball games being rescheduled to Wednesday, the track meet scheduled in Palmer tomorrow has been canceled.
It was a great day for some of our Palmer FFA Ag Mechanics students. Students participate in the Ellis County Livestock Show and Rodeo Ag Mechanics Build Off. They started with a pile of steel and a blueprint and had 8 hours to complete the build competing against 8 other teams . These young men worked hard and were named the 2026 Grand Champion Team and also won the Safety Award.

Last Monday we had around 40 ag mechanics students exhibit their projects at the Ellis County Livestock show and Rodeo. Students did a great job presenting their projects and had 19 blue ribbon projects. The following projects were exhibited in the non sale portion of the ag mech show. We had one group that was awarded the Division Champion for the shop equipment division with their shop table

These young men exhibited their deer stand project in the marketplace division last week at the Ellis County Livestock show and rodeo ag mechanics show. Students in the marketplace division are competing for a chance at earning a spot in the Sale of Champions and these guys were able to get one of those spots by earning Division champion in the wildlife division. Please congratulate them on a job well done.
