Environmental Science is making headway on the Palmer Prairie. We appreciate our maintenance team tilling the ground for us. Today, we pulled weeds, removed rocks, counted worms, and tested the pH of the soil.

Continuing to celebrate 2 influential CTE teachers today for CTE month! Coach Barnes teaches most of the classes in our Exercise Science, Well was and Restoration program of study. Ms. Chapman leads our Principles of Ag, Food and Natural Resources classes at the Middle School. Thank you Coach Barnes and Ms. Chapman for your dedication to our students and our programs!

Today’s Hope Week theme was “Love Your Community.”
During lunch, students shared kindness by writing words of affirmation on hearts to encourage one another. It was a great reminder of how powerful positive words can be! Tomorrow we’ll wrap up Hope Week with “Love and Unity.” Let’s unite as Bulldogs and show off our best school spirit! 🐾 The student showing the most spirit will win a prize basket!

Each month we spotlight two of the amazing professionals in our building who inspire, support and make Palmer Elementary such a special place. Our January staff member of the month is Mrs. Ana and Mrs. Kinney is our teacher of the month! Ms. Ana always sets a great example, constantly working to keep our building in tip-top shape. She never complains about the amount of work, covers shifts whenever needed and always treats every person with kindness. Mrs. Kinney transitioned from third to fourth grade this year and has been incredibly successful in both grades. She creates an inclusive environment where every child is valued, loved, challenged and respected. Please join us in celebrating these ladies for their hard work and dedication to PES and Palmer ISD!

JV Gold wrapped up their season with a 45-22 win over Grandview! JV finished the season with a record of (18-1)(10-0). Congratulations on a great season guys!

JV Black wrapped up their season tonight with an overall record of 7-4.

Today’s Hope Week theme was “Love Yourself! Be Uniquely You!” Students spread kindness by writing positive, encouraging notes to lift one another up and remind each other just how special they are. Watching our campus fill with positivity and support was inspiring!

The PSAT 9 has been rescheduled for March 4, 2026.
Students must sign up by Thursday, February 19 to secure a spot. The cost is $15.
