We are happy to celebrate Mrs. Leal and Coach Phillips, our March teacher and staff member of the month! Both of these ladies make a big impact across our campus. Mrs. Leal finds creative ways to make reading and language arts fun and engaging. She continues to make a positive impact on the third grade team. Coach Phillips' positivity is contagious! Interacting with every student in PE is tough, but she maintains a smile and consistently works to do what is best for kids. Join us in celebrating these ladies, and all of the incredible staff at Palmer Elementary! 🖤💛🖤

The PES Library will host a spring book club next week after school for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. Spots are limited, so please use the QR code or link to sign up and join the fun!

REMINDER:
Friday, May 1, 2026 will be a REGULAR school day for staff and students of Palmer ISD.

Due to the school closures because of icy weather conditions at the end of January, Palmer ISD will use Friday, May 1 as a make-up day for school.

Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly!

PES participated in a keyboarding challenge hosted by Learning.com and our school ranked 94 out of 227 participating schools. The following are the top 3 participants in both third and fourth grades. 3rd Grade: Nate - 42 wpm with 100% accuracy Genesis - 33 wpm with 95% accuracy Koltyn - 29 wpm with 92% accuracy 4th Grade: Brooklyn - 53 wpm with 98% accuracy Olivia - 53 wpm with 94% accuracy Ariana - 45 wpm with 93% accuracy Way to go to all that participated and these students with extra fast, and accurate, fingers!

Third & fourth graders have their RLA STAAR test on Tuesday. Students have been taught by the best and are ready to showcase their skills! We will not have any campus visitors on testing days. The following strategies are helpful for a stress-free morning: * Be on time * Eat a good breakfast * Bring healthy snacks & water * Get everything ready the night before * Dress in layers * Go to bed early Monday night

Wednesday was pig day at the expo and we are proud of our students yet again! Palmer FFA/ Jr. FFA students worked well together, as a team, getting pigs prepped and ready for the show ring better than ever before and in the ring, it showed! 4 Palmer FFA Students made sale with their projects!
