Good afternoon, earlier today we had students in the elementary school involved in a terroristic threat. After an extensive investigation, we have determined that there is not an ongoing threat at the elementary school. The students involved have been dealt with and parents contacted. Again, the safety of our students and staff are of the utmost importance!

Benchmark testing is this week. Please make sure your student has a charged chromebook. RLA is Monday (grades 5-8), Math is Tuesday (grades 5-8), Science is Wednesday (grades 5 & 8), and social studies Thursday (grade 8). We will also be closed to visitors during the week.

It's National FFA Week!
FFA is a national student leadership organization with roots in Agriculture. Traditionally, students who were members of the organization were networking and learning to become farmers.
With today's vast landscape of student interests and specialized agricultural needs. Students learn how to be leaders in the community and learn how to advocate for agriculture through hands on experiences and education.
In the last 5 years, the Palmer Ag Department and Palmer FFA have grown exponentially and provide educational opportunities in agriculture to students in the district.
Reminder for 8th grade parents! Mandatory parent tonight at the HS for all 8th grade parents. This is for registration and course selection for 9th grade.

5th graders entered a "work zone" this week and rated essays that were "under construction."
In response to a post on Facebook: There is inaccurate information that has been posted on Facebook pertaining to a threat that someone is going to shoot up the school. Administration has thoroughly investigated the situation and has determined that a threat was never made. Please know the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
Student Council is getting ready for the Valentine's dance. Make sure you get your tickets and glow accessories Wednesday or Thursday during lunch.
