Welcome back, Bulldogs! We had a great first day of school! Your kiddos have lots of memories and should go to bed early. 😉
(Post 1 of 2)

Our campus and staff have been loved on with generous gifts and donations this week. Huge "Thank you!" to the following:
- Inflated Creations by Grace for our cute balloon arch
- charcuterie board by Palmer Elementary PTO
- boba tea by Avenue Church
- energy tea by BounTEAful Blessings
- snacks by Big Kahuna Fundraising
- stocked lounge by PES families
- lunch by PISD Administration

The Transportation Department asked to provide the following information to families that have students set to ride the school bus to/from school. Morning routes should run close to schedule starting on Monday morning; there may be a slight delay as students learn the procedures. Afternoon routes will be delayed - please be patient and understanding that our drivers are doing their best to get your children home as safely as possible. Drop off times may be delayed as much as 30 minutes due to traffic and our youngest students learning where to get off of the bus.
Any returning PISD student that rode the bus last year is able to ride the school bus beginning Monday. Any new to district students or students that did not ride the bus last year will not be able to ride until Wednesday, August 7.
If you have any questions about bus transportation or route times, please contact Chandell Straley at chstraley@palmer-isd.org.

Tonight was a success with a HUGE crowd! Our halls were filled with excitement and smiles. Shout out to our cheerleaders, Guard, mascots and drum line for greeting our Bulldogs. We love the family and community support in Palmer! 🖤💛🖤

Patience is key for the school carline!
Please review the traffic flow map for the elementary campus. Cars may NOT drive through the front parking lot to avoid buses; this poses a safety hazard for our staff and their personal children.
Here are a few tips to help with our dismissal process:
1. Clearly display your car tag that was provided at Meet the Teacher. Hanging it from your rearview mirror is extremely helpful!
2. Always watch for staff or children walking around your car.
3. Pull up as much as possible to the car in front of you. More space between cars = less cars in our driveway.
4. Pull up, pull up, pull up! We will send your child down the sidewalk if your car is beyond their exit doors - this allows for more cars to fit in the drive.
5. If you need to buckle your child, please consider parking in a lot once you exit the flow of traffic.
6. Be patient! Our staff is standing in the heat, doing our best to safely load every child.
7. Stay in your vehicle. No one should exit their car while in the dismissal line.
8. Consider arriving at 4:10--you will have far less traffic. Your child will be safe (and cool) in their classroom. It usually takes about 2 weeks for everyone to learn the process of dismissal.
We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure the safety of all students!
