Elementary School -

Shout out to these men who welcomed students this morning! With all of the high fives, hugs and stickers, students had a positive start to their day. We hope to have even more dads next month!

We are kicking off the new year by recognizing our December staff member of the month, Miss Beasley, and our teacher of the month, Mrs. Carvalho! Miss Beasley has worked at the elementary for six years and has grown in her leadership over that time. She has a great relationship with all students and is always willing to lend a helping hand. We appreciate her constant smile and great sense of humor! Mrs. Carvalho continues to touch countless lives at PES. Teaching second grade and being their grade level chair, as well as mentoring other students in her hall, Mrs. Carvalho is always looking for ways to serve. Her positivity and laugh are contagious! Palmer ISD has the absolute best staff! You will not find a more dedicated and hard working group of people that selflessly give so much for your kids. Stay tuned as we continue celebrating staff throughout the spring semester!

Joy & Jingles bring lots of mischief and smiles. Wednesday they even "broke into" our Chromebooks! If your child purchased a tray Thursday be sure to ask about the bananas! 😉

Second grade spread tons of Christmas cheer at tonight's program! 🎅🏻🎄🤶🏻 Our kids did great and it was fun to watch their personalities shine! Videos will be shared in a separate post - you definitely want to listen to highlights from the show!

Second, third and fourth graders participated in UIL Academics this past Friday. Coaches and students dedicated weeks to practice and worked hard learning lots of new skills! Check out the placement of our students and teams from the competition! Way to represent Palmer ISD!!🏅

Please join us in celebrating our November staff member and teacher of the month, Krista Martin and Coach Wilds! Our Student Nutrition department continues to make improvements in the menu, quality of food and preparation - we want your children to have the best product and experience in our cafeteria. Krista has modeled for her team how to remain calm in the midst of change and continues to lead with compassion and care. Coach Wilds provides an inclusive environment in the gym so that every child has a positive experience in PE. She has worked extensively on restructuring lessons and incorporating health into her program. Palmer Elementary is fortunate to have the best staff! 🖤💛🖤

🎉 Toy Drive Time! 🎉 Let’s fill up our community toy box together! Drop off new toys in the box located outside the PES library (right across from the front office!). It takes a village… and we’re grateful for ours! ❤️🎄

Santa & Mrs. Claus brought the chilly air with them from the North Pole!🎅🏻 Every student was able to see them today and got a special treat from the big man himself! Thank you to Mrs. Zett for being our photographer, Mr. & Mrs. Knight for their time and talents, and Mrs. Greenlee and Mrs. Havener for organizing such a fun event for our students. Joy & Jingles also arrived this week and already created lots of mischief! The magic is alive and we love seeing the excitement in every child.❤️

There is a menu change for the ELEMENTARY school only for Thursday, December 4.
