Getting ready to kickoff the 2023 Ellis County College and Career Fair at the Waxahachie Civic Center

On the third day of Start With Hello Week, our Palmer Middle School students wore green to show that we are all together in preventing social isolation. In addition, we asked our students to pledge to make our school welcoming and kind, by placing their names on a bulldog pawprint and placing it on a larget banner in the lunch room. #palmermiddle #startwithhello #weargreen #endsocialisolation #palmerbulldogs

Today, 8th graders in Mrs. Miller's ELA class put Johnny Cade from The Outsiders on trial. Each student played a character, judge, or juror in court. Students had to analyze character traits, gather evidence from the text, and write statements to prepare for trial. All but two classes found Johnny guilty. #palmermiddle #theoutsiders #palmerbulldogs

We had a great turnout for Open House last night. Some 5th graders walked into special notes from their family members this morning! #palmermiddle #5thgraderocks #openhouse #palmerbulldogs

Mrs. Nolan’s 5th graders began the week by exploring Newton’s 2nd law with a speed lab. Then, her students ended the week with marble Newton’s cradles and a ‘snake’ flying out of a chip can! #palmermiddle #scienceisfun #labsforlife #palmerbulldogs

Tomorrow is the last day to register for the Belles Pink Out Dance Clinic and receive a free pink out shirt! Email Belles Coach, Krista Havener, if you have any questions! Khavener@palmer-isd.org 💕

Day Two: “Start with Hello” week
Kindness is our superpower!
Students were welcomed as they arrived by Palmer Police Officers, Officer Mike and Palmer FireFighters this morning. Our real-life superheroes were here to start our littles day off with high-fives and handshakes to help them feel valued, wanted and like the important members of our school and community that they are. How we aim to make them feel everyday at PES.
Our Challenge Today: Using our superpower of kindness all day.
A huge thank you goes out to our very own superheroes for being the example of kindness and inclusion and for letting our students feel special. Thank you for all you do for our school and community.
Today's Superhero Squad:
Palmer Police Department
Palmer Firefighters
Mrs. Cunningham's husband, Officer Mike Cunningham
~Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
