Congratulations to all of our ag mechanics students that earned certifications this year. Congratulations to our Navarro college Production Welder Certificate recipients who have worked through this program for the past two years. We also had a great number of students who earned their industry based certification by passing their AWS D9.1 Certification. Students also had the opportunity this year to take a new certification exam that tests their knowledge of welding content that has been taught throughout the course. So we had several students pass the Youscience Welding Technician Level 1 and Welding Technician Level 2 Exams. We are very proud of the accomplishments of these students
Letterman jackets have been delivered to the high school front office. They can be picked up from 7:30 AM-12 PM/12:30 PM-3:30 PM (Monday-Thursday).

Area Advancement
The Middle School bands had 4 recordings from UIL advance to the area level of the ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series. The NV Band had all three recordings advance to the area level. The Varsity band went against the other 1C Varsity bands in the region and had one recording advance. Their two concert selections were very close, three advance, those two places 4th and 5th.

The Palmer ISD Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Jacob Duce as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent of Schools. Following an extensive search and interview process, Dr. Duce was unanimously chosen for his student-focused leadership, dedication to academic excellence, and proven experience in supporting fast-growing school districts.
Dr. Duce brings a strong background in public education, having served in various leadership roles where he championed student achievement, educator development, and strategic planning. His commitment to building strong school communities and expanding academic and career opportunities aligns closely with Palmer ISD’s mission and values.
“I am honored and excited to join the Palmer ISD family,” said Dr. Duce. “This is a district with a proud tradition, dedicated staff, and a clear commitment to student success. I look forward to partnering with the Board, staff, families, our students, and the community to build on that tradition and create even greater opportunities for all students.”
Dr. Duce will officially assume his role as Superintendent in July. In the coming weeks, the district will share opportunities for students, staff, and community members to meet Dr. Duce and welcome him to Palmer.

PISD staff wrapped up a fantastic school year! The end of year celebration allows the district to recognize our teacher and paraprofessional of the year.
Mrs. Greenlee makes such an impression on her students, always finding ways to make learning fun. Students visit her year after year, stopping by to give hugs and tell her how much they miss being in her class. She refers to her students as "my kids" and "our classroom family." Mrs. Greenlee's positive impact is felt across the campus and she is always willing to lend a helping hand.
Mrs. Wright is a task master and stays busy! Not only does she serve as our Title I aide, helping students with their reading, she also fills any need. She is constantly asking, "Is there anything I can do to help?" From cleaning out closets, hanging up hall displays, making copies or even calling names in the carline (on pajama day 😉), nothing is ever too much.
We recognize the talent across our campus. Our staff is top notch and includes the very best people with a heart for kids! Please leave a comment celebrating our PES staff!
