Ms. Chapman's 8th grade AFNR classes are wrapping up learning about FFA LDE Contests. Yesterday they got to put themselves in the shoes of the judges. Today they got to put themselves in the shoes of a competitor! Students chose lyrics from songs and used what they learned about LDEs to present them to the class as a speech.

"Shark Tank" presentations are taking place in Coach Byers' Business Management class today.


Ms. Chapman's 5th grade Ag class has reached the long awaited unit: Bugs! Today students continued to expand on their knowledge of why insects are important to agriculture and learned about Orders of insects. In our last few days of the unit they will also discuss life cycles, adaptations and habitats. Stay tuned as they are very eager to get to look at Ms. Chapman's bug collection!



Ms. Chapman's 8th grade AFNR classes are learning about FFA LDE Contests this week. Today they got to watch some LDEs in action and work together to put themselves in the shoes of the judges. They discussed the rubrics and what to look for in public speaking- things like pace, tone, volume, gestures, poise, and mannerisms. Students had good comments and critiques. Some of them could make some pretty tough judges!
