Spring sports are here! Baseball, softball, track, tennis, and golf are all underway. We encourage our fans to come out and support our student athletes but remind you to leave your pets at home. For the safety of our spectators, PISD does not allow pets at our athletic events.

💡 FFA Student Spotlights 💡 The spring semester is the most busy time around the Palmer Ag Department and Palmer FFA. Since January students have been competing in stock shows, with their animals, in Fort Worth, San Angelo and San Antonio. Fort Worth: Emma Spurlock showed 3 gilts Jacob Medina showed steer San Angelo: Emma Spurlock showed 2 gilts and received: 🥇 1st place Berkshire Gilt 🏆 10th place Cross Gilt Aubri Aduddell showed a gilt Jenna Rhodes showed her heifer 🏆 3rd place Santa Gertrudis Sydney Stewart showed her heifer 🏆 6th place ABC (Simbrah) San Antonio: Emma Spurlock showed a barrow 🏆 10th place Poland barrow Special congrats to Emma Spurlock for having 3 pigs penned at her last 2 shows! It's National FFA Week! FFA is a national student leadership organization with roots in Agriculture. Traditionally, students who were members of the organization were networking and learning to become farmers. With today's vast landscape of student interests and specialized agricultural needs. Students learn how to be leaders in the community and learn how to advocate for agriculture through hands on experiences and education. In the last 5 years, the Palmer Ag Department and Palmer FFA have grown exponentially and provide educational opportunities in agriculture to students in the district.

❗️ FFA Week Dress Up Days Reminder This week is FFA week and in addition to the dress up days below, we will also be having our monthly meeting tomorrow evening at 6pm in the Ag Building! Be prepared to play games and come to win Ag Olympics!

This week's tiny house project update. Students measured, cut and installed siding on exterior of the main floor of the house.

Palmer High School Ag Mech students are very busy this time of year working on their skills by constructing lots of different projects including fire pits, chicken coop, swings, planter boxes smokers and much more.

PHS Hope Week was a huge success, with students participating in activities and themed dress-up days to promote positive mental health awareness. Wishing you a fantastic Valentine’s Day filled with love for others and, most importantly, yourself!

The SAT School Day is Wednesday, March 19th! It is free to juniors and any senior who has not previously taken it at PHS. There are still spots available for both the SAT and PSAT 9! Sign up in the counseling center.
