Homecoming Spirt Day!

Big day today for our Ag Mechanics and Metal Tech students. It's the first day welding in the shop. After spending the first couple of weeks introducing shop safety and going over The SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process. These students are ready to put what they have learned into practice. Most seem to be picking up this skill rather quickly. Looking forward to a great year of learning and working with these first year welding students.

Palmer High School Advanced Ag Mechanics classes have been busy the last two weeks. Students have been repairing some stools, helping finish some gates for the football stadium, building a planter box, making a tailgate for a trailer and learning how to operate our CNC table to make some custom projects. Lots of projects planned this year for a great group of students.

Palmer High School Ag Structures students returned to the shop this week. This is the class offered to our second year ag mechanics students. These students transitioned back into the shop this week by helping with some shop cleanup and organization as well as helping on the Bulldog Stadium gate project and reviewing SMAW and GMAW skills that they learned last year. These students will get to continue working on and help finish the tiny house project that we started last year. We will begin working on the project again in the next couple of weeks. Lots of great talent and tremendous potential for this group of students. Looking forward to seeing what quality work these students produce this year.
