Yesenia Smith
My name is Yesenia Smith, and I am originally from Meridian, Mississippi. After relocating to Texas in 2021, I am excited to begin my sixth year as the Assistant Principal at Palmer Middle School. This year also marks my 14th year in education. I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from Mississippi State University and my Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University. I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive learning environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2009. We have three amazing children: our daughter, Taylor, our son, Chris, and our youngest daughter, Kahlani. As a family, we enjoy traveling, trying new experiences, and making lasting memories together.
Over the past five years, Palmer Middle School has truly become home. It has been an honor to build relationships with our students, families, staff, and community. I am grateful to be part of the Bulldog family and look forward to another year of supporting our students as they learn, grow, and achieve success. Go Bulldogs!
