Assistant Principal/Campus Behavior Coordinator

Yesenia Smith

My name is Yesenia Smith. I am from Meridian, Mississippi, and recently relocated to Red Oak. This year will be my 9th year in education. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Mississippi State University and my Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University. I am currently in the final year of my Doctor of Education program at Belhaven University. As an educator, my goal is to provide all students with an impactful educational experience and a supportive learning environment.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been married for 12 years. We have two children, our daughter Taylor and our son Chris. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, and our fur baby Thor. We love to travel, enjoy new experiences, and create memories.

Even though we are new to Ellis County, I am thrilled to be at Palmer Middle School and part of the Bulldog family. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, staff, and community.
