• Hi!  I have been teaching math for many years, and have taught in many school districts in the north Texas area.  I am now in my fifth year in my "return" to Palmer, where I taught back in 1996-1998.  I am thrilled to be here and so thankful to be teaching the children of so many friends and even former students of mine. We are a lucky group to be in this district with so many professionals dedicated to our future generations.
I graduated from Palmer High School in 1990.  I then attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where I majored in engineering, pre-vet and pre-med before finally deciding I wanted to be a high school teacher and coach. Also at Tarleton, I played basketball for the TexAnns and was a member of two NAIA  final-four teams. I graduated from TSU in 1995 after doing my student teaching at DeLeon High School.  I was then hired as a high school math teacher and varsity assistant coach  for the following year.  I learned many things under Dr. Linda Reeves and Coach Grady West there in DeLeon and use and value them today.  The years continued and I taught math at every grade level from 6th grade up through Algebra II.  I also have experience teaching keyboarding, language arts, resource math and have been an instructional coach for math and science. I have coached junior high and high school girls sports for many of my past 23 years in education and my husband is the Head Football Coach/Athletic Director here at PHS.
I have 3 wonderful kids, Kendall-a recent PHS graduate, full time student and aide at Palmer Elementary, Ben-a junior here at PHS, and Katie-a 7th grader at PMS. I am thrilled about the many changes happening in PISD and I am excited to be teaching Geometry again this year, with many of my returning students.
I am looking forward to this school year and know that it will be the best yet!!
